Class Name: STAR: Supervising a Diverse Workforce

Description: Managing diversity is valuing the differences that make us greater than the sum of our parts. This class will allow supervisors to hold a facilitated conversation about those differences, identify privilege that comes with that, and to explore where social stereotypes come from.
Objectives: In this course we will cover: •What makes us different, and what we all have in common •Treating others fairly and equitably •How our differences can build a stronger workforce •Introduction to the idea of privilege •Investigation into where stereotypes come from
