Class Name: STAR: Employee Engagement & Strengths-Based Management

Description: Based on research into employee engagement and the sources of extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, this training will look at the role and responsibility of people manager's in creating the conditions that can allow for engagement to flourish more readily, as well as provide concrete tools for coaching and holding accountability conversations.
Objectives: People managers will: Understand the results of a fully engaged workforce; learn to create the foundation for a fully engaged workforce; understand the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and how to leverage the former for greater engagement; learn how to conduct a coaching conversation; understand the limits of coaching; understand the first steps to holding an accountability conversation
