SharePoint 101: An Introduction
Human Resources Professional Development
This is an introduction to the SharePoint platform. In this class we will go over what SharePoint is, the functionality it can provide, and the basics of navigating and using the system. This class is the beginning of the training series for Site Owners, but is useful for people who will be using SharePoint at an end user level or for people who simply want to learn more about it.
Define the SharePoint platform, and identify the different components and their functionality. This class will cover SharePoint Apps such as Libraries, Calendars, Task Lists, Picture Libraries, and Wiki Pages. The best practices for using these Apps will also be covered along with extra functionality that can be configured for each. The basics of SharePoint permissions will also be covered. A test environment will also be available for exercises corresponding to the lessons, as well as general exploration of the system.
